The Retriever Championship 2015 was held on the Queensberry Estate, Scotland by kind permission of The Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry Estate KBE DL.
54 handlers and their dogs competed for the IGL Retriever Championship under judges; Neil Black, Steven Polley, Mike Tallamy and Nigel Rowson. The Head Keeper / Steward of the Beat; Rab Clark and his team did a wonderful job ensuring that the game was plentiful.
This championship will be remembered as wet and challenging, for the dogs and handlers. It was held mostly in bracken and white grass, at three different locations on the estate, on the mountain face with long retrieves and the dogs working out of sight of the handler at times.
Monday 30th November, Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of December 2015.
