Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire was the venue for The Yorkshire Retriever Society’s 89th 24 dog two day Open AV Retriever Field Trial by gracious permission of The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
Judges; Mr Ian Openshaw, Mrs Lynne Mitchell, Mr Guy Bennett and Mr Henrik Vilendal watched the competitors compete over two days in heather. They saw the successes and failures of each dog.
Steward of the Beat, Mr Paul Willoughby made sure there was a good supply of game giving each competitor a fair chance over two days of trialling. The winner qualified for the 2012 IGL Retriever Championship.
Winner: Duchess of Devonshire's FTCh Emmanygan Rambler of Bolton Abbey
handled by Mr J W Halsted qualifies for the 2012 IGL Retriever Championship held at Cawdor.
