Windsor Great Park hosted the 2007 Retriever Championship
by kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen and The Crown
Commissioners.  50 Dogs and Handlers started off in grass and then bracken, the weather was cool, dry and a brilliant
blue sky until mid-day with cloud banks gradually building up over the afternoon.  Steward of the Beat and Head Keeper
John Stubbs kept the line in order.  53 dogs and handlers were called to attend day two, the day was grey and overcast with intermittent drizzle, majority of retrieves were Partridge, with few Woodcock.

Judges Roderick Forbes, David Garbutt, Phillip Parkins and Peter Hammond saw the field reduce to 8 dogs for the third
and final day, heavy rain greeted all but stayed dry until the awards ceremony was completed.
