The Retriever Championship 2006 was held at Ampton Shoot, Great Livermere, Suffolk, by kind permission of
Mr & Mrs Peter Hammond.  The Steward of the Beat Alan Hammond and the staff team work was reflected in the very competent manner in which the sporting birds were presented to the Guns for 52 Handlers and their dogs to compete for the Championship under the experienced and watchful eyes of judges John Drury, Jim Gale, George Ridley
and Roger Tozer.

The first round was completed by lunch of the first day.  The weather was mostly dry with very windy conditions,
the ground was sugar beet and high kale.
