IGL Secretary and Chief Steward Philip Wainwright welcomed everyone to the 2003 Retriever Championship held at Sandringham Estate, by gracious permission of Her Majesty The Queen.

Judges Derrick Capel, Kevin Doughty, David Garbutt and Greig Paterson were going to have a busy time judging the 44 dogs and handlers over the three days.  Head Keeper and Steward of the beat David Clark and his staff ensured the game was in the right places at times under difficult weather conditions.
