The beautiful Lilburn Estate, near Wooler in Northumberland was
the venue for The Tyne Tees and Tweed Field Trial Association
Annual 24 dog open qualifying Retriever Trial by kind permission
of Mr D Davidson.
Chief Steward Dougie Armstrong introduced the judges and
guns prior to the Trial starting. A mixture of kale, woodland
plantation, thick grassland and reed bed. Judges Gareth Davies
Chris Brain, Sue Hutton and Steve Polly watched over 24 dogs
and their handlers. As the Trial progessed handlers saw the
highs and lows of Trialing.
The second day 11 dogs and handlers started out from a small
plantation to a large snipe bog area, although there was no snip
but plenty of pheasants were flushed. The conclusion of the trial
was held in a kale field which saw plenty of drama before the
trial finished in the afternoon.
Running time 91 mins.
Filmed and produced by Paul French Video with commentary by Dr Gareth Davies.
