The Wormegay Estate, near Kings Lynn in Norfolk was the
venue for The Kennel Club’s annual 24 dog Open Retriever
Trial by kind permission of Mr Ian Symington and invitation
of Mr Mike Scales and friends.
Judges Rupert Hill, Richard Webb, Simon Littleboy and
Keith Sandercock watched the competitors in a mixture of
sugar beet, mustard and long grass, they saw the successes
and failures of each dog.
Steward of the Beat Richard Beckerleg had made sure there
was a good supply of game giving each competitor a fair
chance.
The two days of trialling made an exciting competition with
the winning dog qualifying for the Retriever Championship.
